Blessings: Scrambled or Over-Easy?

There are times in life when a story squeezes a dollop of your heart out of your chest and carries it like a freshly laid egg into God's kitchen to be fried on the griddle of Truth. You always get your heart back, but it never looks the same. Often the only decision left to make is scrambled or over-easy.

Aubrey Sampson is a friend of mine who has agreed to share such a story with us. I’m not ashamed to say that my eyes were sweating half way through this story.

Grab a Kleenex and be blessed.

(Note: This video was originally prepared for a writing and speaking course that both Aubrey and I are enrolled in.)

  1. Wow. You weren't kidding about the need for Kleenex! Very well spoken words. True words. What stands out most to me is that, in Aubrey sharing her own sin and struggle, she's blessing and encouraging us. And that's yet another example of God working all things for the good of those who love Him. Indeed - He is good! Say thanks to Aubrey for me - Her words were a great way to start the day.

  2. Aubrey, you are a wonderful speaker. God has gifted you with that. Your faith allows you to recognize and express the blessing of receiving your third son. Your message touches everyone who thinks that she just can't have it "her way". God must have a reason and a plan.

You and Kevin have a very down-to-earth way of delivering a message. No fancy theology, just a natural, heartfelt Godly message. God bless you and your growing family.
